Confidence

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Adrain Gabbard (Co-Pastor of Uptown Church) preached a great message (Pastor Gary Gabbard is on vacation this week)...God always knows what we need to hear...I have had a really hard week...My husband has decided our marriage is over & he wants a divorce...I have been taking this to the Lord believing for a different out come...I know God heard my prayers...I asked so many times for God to give him a dream or send someone his way to talk to him & help him understand this is nothing but the work of the Devil...I know God has done that...His word tells us we have our own free will to listen & obey or walk the other way...he will continue to be in my prayers always...we have 3 beautiful kids together & I pray he finds his way to the Lord

This past week I have been so lost...I could not think straight...I had a short fuse w/ people...I knew it was nothing but the Devil...I kept praying & believing but I just could not get this weight off....then Adrian started preaching Sunday morning & I felt so much freedom...even though I was taking this to the Lord I was not truly giving it to him...I was not putting all my confidence in him...He can bring us though the darkest hour....Sunday morning I left it @ the alter & put all my trust & confidence in the Lord...I know he will bring us through this...I felt so much joy & peace today I can not explain it...people who have seen me today say they can see a change in me...some knew what was going on & others just knew something was not right w/ me last week...But I can honestly say God has given me a peace that passeth all understanding

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
